Beth Herrick and Beth Pomroy, both natives of Mt. Desert Island, create colorful designs on porcelain tiles, soap and butter dishes, trays and platters. The images range from painterly scenics inspired by the Maine coast to bright and whimsical cats, fish and swimming ladies. Each piece is hand painted, glazed and fired at their little studio in the woods. They specialize in custom tile murals and backsplashes, and welcome your ideas.
In addition, the two own "Beez Handmade Paper", which offers a well known line of colorful, durable paper barrettes and pins.
